Dan Brier joins Pennsylvania Innocence Project’s Board of Directors

The Pennsylvania Innocence Project was founded in 2009 to identify and litigate cases for the convicted innocent. The mission of the Project is to exonerate those convicted of crimes they did not commit, to prevent innocent people from being prosecuted and convicted, and to help those wrongfully convicted transition to freedom.   Since 2009, more than 30 innocent people have been welcomed home.

The Project provides pro bono investigative and legal assistance to incarcerated people convicted in Pennsylvania who are actually innocent and whose innocence can be proven by DNA testing or by other newly discovered evidence. In addition to legal services, the Project also provides re-entry support for clients returning to society, education in the criminal justice system and legislation to promote criminal justice reform.

Dan is honored to join the committed team that passionately fulfills the Project’s important mission.
