Tax & Estate Planning/Business Law Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate to join our dynamic and rapidly growing tax, estate planning, real estate, and business transaction practice in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in tax and business law and a passion for providing sophisticated legal counsel to a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on tax and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses.
• Handle a range of business transactions, including the formation, operation, purchase, and sale of businesses.
• Advise tax-exempt organizations on legal, governance and regulatory matters.
• Draft and review legal documents, including wills, trusts, and corporate and real estate agreements.
• Conduct legal research and stay current on developments in real property, business, tax and estate law.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and manage multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic background with a focus on tax, estate and business law.
• Background in accounting or finance is highly desirable.
• Admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar (or ability to become admitted).
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
