Brian J. Levy

Brian Levy concentrates his practice on complex civil and white-collar criminal litigation and investigations.  Brian draws an array of litigation and advisory assignments ranging from commercial business disputes involving individual and corporate entities to issues specific to the energy and natural resources and healthcare industries.  His work includes internal investigations of corporate entities, high-value real estate tax assessment appeals, and the defense of individuals and entities subject to highly sensitive federal civil and criminal investigations.

Brian also has significant experience in the environmental insurance claims industry.  Brian has served as insurance coverage and claims counsel in complex long-tail coverage matters related to contamination at environmental cleanup sites.  In these matters, he has conducted analysis of issues related to coverage and allocation of loss, lost historical insurance policy archaeology and assessment, environmental liability risk and exposure-based investigations, environmental remediation cost assessment and liability under CERCLA and state regulatory regimes, and counseling related to novel climate change liability litigation.

Above all, Brian most enjoys the pursuit and defense of legal matters in which an entity or individual client unenviably finds its back against the wall.  In coordination with the entire MBK team, Brian enjoys the development and implementation of strategy aimed at digging clients out of these situations and towards a targeted end goal.
